Best Creatives This Week
AI Geniuses, Art Curators, Barbers & more creators.
Sup Shorties,
Changing it up this week to cover some creator accounts.
Creators are the best to take inspo from because
Their content is always better than brands
They understand their audience better than brands
Aren’t distracted by the fact that they have to sell people anything
Partly why they are able to build genuine and authentic relationships with their audience, and when they eventually do come around to building a business, their audience is eager to buy from or support them.
There’s a lot to learn from that.
So without further ado — lets hop in to Week 5:

More on why we study creators:
If you want to drive results on TikTok, don’t try to reinvent the wheel.
At my agency, before we start creating content for any client, we do market research.
Market Research consists of pulling hundreds of the most viral videos within the clients niche, trying to understand why it went viral, and analyzing everything from hooks, captions, hashtags to the format and style of the video.
Our best market research comes from studying creators.
Yes, of course its helpful to be aware of what other brands are doing in your space.
But the reason creators (within your niche) are better to take inspo from is because most of the time creators aren’t trying to sell you shit.
Its the single reason why they are able to become an “overnight success.”
The biggest mistake brands make on TikTok is that they make overly salesy content, but nobody wants to feel like they’re being sold to.
You only have 2 seconds to captivate someone or else they will scroll right past it. The moment they sense its an ad, they’re gone.
What you need to understand is that the TikTok algorithm prioritizes watch time over anything else.
If your video has good retention, it will get dished to more people with a similar psychographic mindset.
If you have poor retention, it’s probably because you are trying to sell someone something in your video. Or its just a shit video.
And if thats the case, it will not get dished to more and more like-minded peoples FYPs.
You need to be way more subtle about it, or just don’t try to sell at all in the first place. Only try to add value: entertain, educate, etc.
The only way you are going to sell anything, ever, is if you build an audience.
The only way to do that is if you go viral consistently.
You only increase your likeliness of going viral by not being overly salesy.
What I would do if I was CMO:
6 brands that should fire their social media managers right now
and who they should hand over the reins to their socials instead:
